GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF (PEDAGOGY) SUBJECT- SOCIAL SCIENCE FOR B.ED AND IMPORTANCE OF OBJECTIVES .

Social science - the scientific study of human society and social relationships,it have a wide scope such as economics,political science,geography etc.so today we'll be discussing few objectives that we have to keep in mind before teaching this particular subject.

 Before starting with the General Objectives of subject social science,first lets discuss the importance of objectives in framing a lesson plan and delivering it in a classroom.

IMPORTANCE OF AN OBJECTIVES IN LESSON PLAN

·        It gives a direction of movements towards a goal.for example- teaching of a particular concept in one or two class.

·        It helps in setting a standard that should be achieve while teaching.

·        It helps in full utilization of resources.i.e time &human efforts.

·        It helps in focusing on each aspect of development.

·        Indicate various steps to be involved.

·        It specifies what will students accomplish during this lesson.i.e expected outcome.

·        Helps teachers to deliver their lesson with confidence.

·        Broadly there are two types of objectives general and specific.

·        General objectives These objectives are formulated by the teacher in his subject keeping in view the entering behaviors of the learner.

·        Specific is related to the topic or we can say it is topic concerned. for example students will be able to list various types of resources.

·        The objectives covers all the three domains of learning i.e cognitive ,psycho motor & affective.

·        It helps in making teaching learning more effective.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF SOCIAL SCIENCE

·         To develop democratic values among students.

·         To know duties towards human society

·         To enable  students to adjust to the environment

·         To develop aesthetic sense among students.

·         To provide knowledge of natural & social  environment

·         To acquire with the social thinking.

·         To inculcate a holistic thinking on any topic

·         To develop fundamental proficiencies.

·         To develop the feeling of international  understanding.

·         To enable students to work according to the environment.

·         To develop desirable attitudes.

·         To develop national feeling.

·         To develop international feeling.

·         To develop social skills

·         To develop imagination, critical thinking, reasoning power.

·         To develop feeling of universal brotherhood.

·         To analyze  the way of life of the people all over the world.

·         To apply sound economic theories to everyday life

·         To develop cultural interest

·         To analyze historical moments & norms.

·         To develop the close relationship of humanity with nature &human development from time to time.

·         To develop democratic values.

·         To understand the basics of human need ,peace & humanity.
